- Organisation – Kunstraffinaderij is a foundation in Nijmegen. The organization and implementation of the Arts Fair is in the hands of the organizing committee, hereinafter referred to as the organization. All communication regarding the fair will take place through the organization.
- Place and opening hours – The Art Fair takes place on 21-22-23 april 2023, Stevenkerk, St. Stevenshof 63, Nijmegen. Details about the program will be announced at a later date.
- Setting up and clearing out – Setting up the stands is possible on Thursday 20 april from 14.00h till 20.00h and Friday 21 april from 9.00h till 12.00h. Clearing out stands is possible on Sunday 23 april from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Places are assigned by the organization.
- Set up free locations – Free locations are stands in the space without exhibition walls for which 2 pedestals of 50:50:50 are available per stand. In addition, your own display cases and pedestals can be used. Additional options can be discussed in consultation with regard to furnishing and cleaning up the free spaces. For installations, on-site work, audience interactions and input from large work space is available on request. Free spaces are mainly allocated to artists with 3-dimensional work.
- Participation and registration – Participation is open to artists from all disciplines. In addition to previous participants and artists from Nijmegen, artists from all over the country are invited to register. During the selection, attention is paid to the quality of the work and affinity with the theme TIME Registration is only possible via the registration form on the website. This form does not guarantee participation. There are only a limited number of places available. The registration form must be in the possession of the organization by 30 November 2022 at the latest. It will be announced before 31 December which artists can participate.
- Acceptance, Admission and Payment – Registration is accepted after approval by the balloting committee. There will be no communication about the committee’s choices. Upon acceptance, the stand rent must be paid before 1 February 2023 . Participants will receive an invoice for this. As long as the payment conditions are not met, the participant cannot assert any rights in any form whatsoever. All (collection) costs arising from late payment are for the account of the participant. If one or more bills are not paid on time, the organization has the right to assign the allocated place to another party without further ado.
- Cancel registration – Cancellation after registration is not possible. No refund will be given in case of absence during the fair.
- Stands and prices – The standard stands are equipped with white side and back walls of 2.50 m high. There are about 50 stands available with a size of W 2 x L 4 meters. Stands of 20 m2 can be rented for galleries and collectives. In addition, a number (about 20) free places in the Stevenskerk will be made available. All places are equipped with standard lighting.
The participation fee is € 325. For galleries the participation price is € 700, – The price includes the use of electricity and basic lighting and for the free places without stands also the use of tables / pedestals . Participants will receive vouchers for lunch, coffee and tea on Saturday and Sunday. A meal is offered by the organization on Fridays. The participant is not entitled to place anything outside the rented space without the express permission of the organization. The stand must look well-maintained at all times. The stands must not be overcrowded. The organization can advise on this. Packaging materials, etc. must be stored out of sight by the exhibitor. - Participant badges and free tickets – Each exhibitor receives a participant badge from the organization. Participants must wear these clearly visible. The badges are personal and may only be used by the participants themselves. Every exhibitor is entitled to free tickets that apply during all opening hours of the fair. Per stand or participant place 5 free tickets are given and a gallery gets 25 free tickets.
- Caveat – Stands must be manned during all opening hours. Stichting Kunstraffinaderij cannot be held liable for loss, theft or damage to persons or goods in any form whatsoever. The participant must properly insure himself for this. If the fair is cancelled, postponed or shortened due to unforeseen circumstances or force majeure, the Kunstraffinaderij Foundation cannot be held liable under any circumstances. In that case, participants cannot invoke compensation or reimbursement from Kunstraffinaderij.
- General – Kunstraffinaderij decides in all cases not provided for in these terms and conditions. Instructions from Foundation Kunstraffinaderij, or any other foundation designated executive organizer must be followed at all times. In the event of disputes, the Arnhem court, insofar as competent, has exclusive jurisdiction. All information has been compiled with care, but no liability can be accepted by Stichting Kunstraffinaderij for its accuracy, nor can any rights be derived from the information provided. It is expressly stated that this information should not be regarded as an offer or quotation.
